Loving the name Vera at the moment - dh loves it too.
What do you think of Vera? I think it is simple, yet stylish. I know there is that woman on Corrie, but i dont watch soaps so not an issue for us.

Really, if you and DH both love it...don't ask us!

PaulineCampbellJones · 13/08/2010 21:36

I really like it, don't know any little Veras.

mathanxiety · 13/08/2010 21:37

It's much nicer than Verity, imo. Means either faith or truth.

ArseHolio · 13/08/2010 21:38

I've met lots of Veras and they have all been absolutly lovely people :)

if you love the name then go for it !

tummytickler · 13/08/2010 22:29

Lynette - we both love it - but really we both love a hell of alot of names!

hairymelons · 14/08/2010 00:13

ThatVikRinA22 · 14/08/2010 00:18

the vera i know gets Vee.

AllSheepareWhite · 14/08/2010 00:39

I had a great aunty Vera, she was quite lovely, but deaf as a post and she used to be selectively even more deaf when you talked about things she didn't want to hear or wasn't interested in so you ended up hoarse from shouting during conversation! :o

nooka · 14/08/2010 05:52

It makes me think of Ebeneezer Goode - there was a line "anyone got any Veras" which I assume must have been a drug of some sort.

diddl · 14/08/2010 08:46

Horrible & old lady.

MummyLovesSadie · 14/08/2010 08:48

Nooka Vera Lynne's = skins (Rizla's)

LiquoriceLila · 14/08/2010 11:58

oh no what an awful name

hatebeak · 14/08/2010 15:28

Lovely.

usualsuspect · 14/08/2010 15:36

Just no

Bacofoil · 14/08/2010 15:42

Dreadful name, I too think it's horrid. Not all old lady names are nice, you know.

my first thought was Vera Drake, I'm afraid

plonker · 14/08/2010 15:45

I can't ever imagine a little baby called Vera. It just seems wrong.

Nope, I really don't like this one.
