Edward

QueenofDreams · 12/08/2010 16:12

Oh hilarious. These were exactly our two choices for DS Grin We went with Sebastian in the end because it suited him better. I would say keep them both in mind then decide once he's born?

Both lovely names IMO.

countrybump · 12/08/2010 16:13

... but because I know both a little Edward and a little Sebastian, and while Edward is an angelic child, Sebastian is the opposite!

Sebastian. Wonderful, strong, European so travels well. Sounds great in any language.Grin Can't understand why is is so rarely usedHmm

Great name, go for Sebastian.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 12/08/2010 22:06

love both, can't use edward as it's my brother's name

shandydrinker · 13/08/2010 16:47

we love sebastian, just worried its a bit posh for us!

Ah don't worry about it being 'posh'. TBH DP and I both come across as quite posh in our tastes etc. The fact is we are as broke as all hell. And 'posh' is just a perception anyway Smile We're told we're posh because we're quite correct with grammar and like the quieter (finer) pleasures in life. I actually think of us as being prematurely middle aged rather than posh! Blush

If you love the name, use it!

Kiama · 14/08/2010 14:19

Definitely go for Sebastian... but please nn him Seb, not Bast (which I've heard and makes me shudder. Seems like it's short for bastard Grin).

Also I'd be worried that there are going to be bajillions of little Edwards running round soon with the popularity of twilight, no?

drosophila · 14/08/2010 14:32

I choose this as ds2 second name. We couldn't decide between an old Irish name and this. Being Irish we went for the Irish name. I think it's a bit posh but I still love it. Also love Seb as a nn. not a big fan of edward.
