Is Kial a weird shortening?

How do you get Kial from Macauley? And isn't the correct spelling Kyle?

meandjoe · 06/08/2010 17:12

Errrm can't see how it works as a shortening. Macauley is a beautiful name but Mac is the only fesable nicname I can think of.

ValiumSingleton · 06/08/2010 17:14

I prefer Malachy

LaundryLyne · 06/08/2010 17:26

Macaulay reminds me of Macaws. As meandjo says, I can't really see how Macaulay shortens to Kial.

BunnyLebowski · 06/08/2010 17:27

Erm......WTF????

Macauley is awful. Kial is ridiculous.

NiceCuppaT · 06/08/2010 18:56

Ditto bunny!!

moondog · 06/08/2010 19:00

Name is awful btw

stressheaderic · 07/08/2010 19:24

I know a boy called McAuley

zenoushka · 09/08/2010 13:42

Really do not like the name AT ALL.

brimfull · 09/08/2010 13:45

don't

Bellepink · 09/08/2010 14:04

Yes - Kial is a definitely weird shortening. A very tenuous link.

Culkin springs to mind very quickly though... can't think why...

nappyaddict · 10/08/2010 11:43

Good, so it's not just me who thinks it is weird then.
