Orla or Enya?

Orla or Enya to go with a three syllable surname? Due any minute so need to decide soon. Or another name within DH's criteria:
Irish name which is spell-able and easily pronounced.

  • doesn't begin with any of existing family's initials so excluding I, C and F

Thanks for your thoughts

These are quite nice, and names I hadn't thought off, but they don't make you cringe when you hear them, and sut all age groups.

xx

Orla

Thanks, I love the name Enya too and it's a derivative of my granny's name but lots of people think only of the singer and think it's a bit naff.

Orla would have been my top choice if I was having a girl

LaundryLyne · 30/07/2010 23:42

Enya

ValiumSingleton · 30/07/2010 23:43

I like both -- tough one.

Enya by a hair

LJS666 · 31/07/2010 00:18

Siobhan.

I love Enya, partly because it isn't ruined by non-pronunciation of the letter R (as in Awla).

NiceCuppaT · 31/07/2010 09:54

Orla

Love both! Orla seems to be a very fashionable MN name right now.

yama · 31/07/2010 15:36

I love Orla.

Thanks all. I'm now veering towards Orla but may take mrspickles advice and see which she looks like when she appears.
