Maren??

Suggested by a Norwegian friend. I really like it but don't have any Norwegian family or links so don't no if it sounds right.

I've only come across it once before, spelt Marron, and he was a bearded hippy type bloke.

I knew one, she was also scandinavian. It's pronounced Mah-ren as I recall (not Marren).
I think it's lovely but will be mispronounced.

PS if you like that name, you might like Celtic names like Meghan.

I like Merryn and Miriam. Maren sounds quite male.

I like it. Apparently it's a variant of Mary. I also like Miriam, Marina and Marnie.

I know a German family who have a teenage daughter called Maren. Admittedly, when she was born, we couldn't tell from the name whether the baby was a boy or girl!

I really like it.I like scandinavian names in general though.
