It does sound too similar imo.

Too many essssss's!

DrivenToDistraction · 21/07/2010 17:14

Indeed a great name but too symilar. Have you tried Nymbler? It might be just the job in your case, you add the names you like and it comes up with suggestions. 'tis certainly worth a try.

I still think Rafael. lol

DrivenToDistraction · 21/07/2010 17:14

symilar? similar. oops.

PaintingTheFence · 21/07/2010 18:22

I think they are very similar.

ReasonableDoubt · 21/07/2010 18:58

Alessio is a lovely name! Much nicer than Rocco. I don't think it sounds silly with Ellis. I don't get the whole 'sibling names must match' thing, though.

Girlymumoftwoboys · 21/07/2010 20:09

I don't want to match names but seem to only like names that sound the same.
For eg if I was having a girl then love Giselle/Arielle/Elle/Nell.

Thanks mns for fb

Al, Sio, Leo?

Esso?

BelligerentGhoul · 21/07/2010 22:31

Love Ellis - Allessio doesn't sit well with it at all though, imho - and I don't like it much either, sorry.

LaDiDaDi · 21/07/2010 22:32

Far too similar imo.

Love Rocco though .

mathanxiety · 22/07/2010 00:36

Very similar, and although you like androgynous or girly names, Allessio is far too like a lot of popular girls' names, the closest being Alice, but there's also Alyssa. A recipe for teasing, depending on the child.

Rocco is very nice.
Leo too.

Girlymumoftwoboys · 22/07/2010 10:23

Mathanxiety-you are right it is girly sounding.Still love it but doesn't go with Ellis.
Have been calling baby Rocco and some people say it sounds like a villains name or pornstar!I never thought of those things but don't want people to think I've given my son a harsh name.
Was interested in what people thought of Alessio as it's softer.

Thankyou for fb

As far as I know its Italian, one of the families at school has it for her ds, the brothers are called Alessandro and Leonardo. HTH

mopsyflopsy · 22/07/2010 13:41

Far too similar. Try saying Allessio and Ellis quickly a few times... .

Rocco is beautiful!

Ellis and Rocco sound great together too.

Girlymumoftwoboys · 22/07/2010 17:34
