Alexander?

Nice name for a boy? I really love it and nn Alex. Is it too popular now or indeed a little boring?

Other names we are considering: Max, Theodore, Leo or Thomas. My "brave" name would be Augustus shortened to Gus but not sure that would make it past the keeper.

Thoughts, suggestions?

All the Alex's I've known have been great! Plus the first boy I ever had a crush on when I was at school was an Alex - just love the name!

Love it - we've got an Alexander, but hate Alex as a shortening, we use Xander - much nicer imo

I think Alexander is a very nice name, classic and not boring. Also like Max and Theodore, and quite like Leo and Thomas. Not keen on Gus I'm afraid.

It's Ds's middle name although I wish we'd just used it as his first name. With nn Xander.

Very similar to my list for DS1 - Alexander, Leo, Thomas, William, J ohn. I think it's lovely.

Alex/Alexander/Xander. All great. Love Leo and Leon too.

Unfortunately, Alex is the name of someone that dh didn't get along with, so not for us!

Alexander is a fantastic name. Wish I could have used it myself. Also like nn Alex or Xander, I think I prefer Xander.

Theodore, if he was known as Theo
Max
Leo
Thomas
Augustus nn Gus

Alexander is a brilliant name. So is Gus. If you love Gus, go for it. Why wouldn't you? It's not weird, it's fine. Augustus Alexander? Sounds great!
