We had Ethan picked out as the name for our impending new arrival.
Will this now look like we copied Danni Minogue???

No, it's not unusual enough and most people don't follow the celeb name thing. I'd keep with it if you've already settled on it

Tuschinski · 15/07/2010 18:54

I agree, it's not that unusual and she's not that famous so I'd stick with it, it's a lovely name.
People may comment on it in the first few months but I reckon she, and certainly her DS's name, will soon be forgotten.

gruber · 15/07/2010 18:57

It's not that unusual, I know several little Ethans and they are all lovely! Go for it, no one will make the connection (not like Cruz Beckham, for example).

bigstripeytiger · 15/07/2010 19:04

Its a very very popular name, I doubt that anyone will think that you copied Danni.

lovechoc · 15/07/2010 19:14

It is very popular now, so no one will think you are copying Danni.

shelly38 · 15/07/2010 19:15

Thanks
I think we'll stick with Ethan then.

My ds2 is Ethan. It wasn't that popular when he was named....typical

valiumSingleton · 15/07/2010 19:49

No, I think she picked a normal name. Ethan is a good solid name.

upahill · 16/07/2010 09:25

I prefer the name Evan.
