Does anyone else like Vere?

Just wanted to establish whether I was the only one who thought this was a good name for a boy I've had it in the back of my mind for ages, but I've never what anyone thought about it before.

Never heard of it, tbh. My immediate thought was Vera.

Vere Bird? Vere Johns? Vere Harmsworth? It's pronounced like veer if you didn't know.
