James, Joseph and...? (DS3)

I am so stuck. Poor DS3 is 8 days old and we cannot decide on a name. I started a thread before but have lost it in the depths of MN The shortlist so far, favourites at the top are-
Laurence (my favourite I think but not biblical)
Thomas (seems abit 'obvious')
Joshua (love it but people would think we named them all J... on purpose and it sounds abit odd with 2 other Js)
Caleb
Callum (calum?)
Jacob
I like Rupert too, DH doesn't...

I want a nice solid name, pref. biblical, and will need 2 middle names too Patrick I love too, but it's one of DS1s middle names.... ditto Malachi (one of DS2s). I have been waiting for it to just come to me like DS 1 and 2 but nothing is "right"....

James, Joseph and Joshua/Jacob would be cool, but the alliteration's a bit Jermaine Jackson. I've always liked Caleb, and I like Laurence too. I'm not keen on Thomas or Rupert, but if you want solid Biblical names, then I think John is a great name, all the moreso for being underused nowadays.

Jacob was my first thought....before I even opened the post.

PiggyPenguin · 14/07/2010 18:46

Joshua would be fab I think.

If you like the name what does it matter if they all start with the same initial? You are going to be saying it every day for the rest of your life. Might as well make it one you actually want.

John or Jesse.

whoodoo · 14/07/2010 19:18

my DS3 was also nameless for about 10 days if it's any consolation. Everyone hassled me about it and I wanted to poke their eyes out. take your time. Jessiah??? - I love it and very biblical but a brave choice perhaps.

Petitefrizz · 14/07/2010 19:22

Joshua, Jacob, Jonah, are perfect for brothers called James and Joseph! Other biblical names like Jonathan, Jesse, Josiah, Jude, Jason are nice too, and how about Justin?

If you really don't want a 'J' (All my children have the same letter and I often get teased about it so I can see why you might not), how about Matthew, Nathan, Solomon, Ethan or Reuben?

Congratulations on your newborn!

LynetteScavo · 14/07/2010 19:24

Dh Said Jacob.

I like John (aka Johnie)

DetectivePotato · 14/07/2010 19:26

Joshua is a great name, its DS's name.

My nan named all her boys with the letter T and when they were older and post came, they never knew who it was for. Just a thought.

If you have Callum, don't spell it with 1 L. My friend did this and said she has to continously spell his name for people now and everyone tends to spell it with 2 Ls.

Doozie · 14/07/2010 19:26

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John?
