Our third and final child is due to be delivered bu ELCS next Wednesday. The baby is a girl and our first daughter.

We cannot decide weather to call her
Martha Rosa Lynch or
Martha Ellen Rosa Lynch

I know the double A in the fist option is not great but Martha and Rosa are the two names that we love.

Ellen is a family name that I like but can't help feeling two middle names is a little over the top. Also is it likely that Rosa on the end would get lost.

Opinions please...

yes, love Martha Rosa Lynch. Love the name Martha full stop!

I gave my girls two middle names and I have two myself. DD2 has a family name which I don't love but I'm glad she has it as it made my mum very happy. It's so rare that they use their full names anyway - I would go with Martha Ellen Rosa Lynch. (I know that you love the other two but I personally would drop Rosa before Ellen.)

I prefer the second, and two middle names is NOT over the top at all. Everyone in my family has at least two, and I certainly like having more to choose from.

My DS has 2 middle names as I wanted it to be after my dad and DH said he wanted it to be after his, so we had both. 2 isn't OTT.

lifeas3plus1 · 14/07/2010 19:37

I love Martha Ellen Rosa. I just think it flows much better than the first one.

Gorgeous name.

Split opinion
I can see this is not ging to be easy. DH is no use too he is happy to go with either of them.

I really love your names! I prefer the one with Ellen included as Martha and Ella both end in A but both are really lovely.

pavlovalover · 15/07/2010 09:49

Rosella for the middle name? Just a thought...

Otherwise, I really like middle names that have a family connection, so I would go for Martha Ellen Lynch (and just skip Rosa) or Martha Ellen Rosa Lynch.

I'm not particularly keen on Ellen so I prefer your first option.

Margeaux · 15/07/2010 15:11

I prefer Martha Ellen Rosa as it flows better and is easier to say.

Martha is a beautiful name

DrivenToDistraction · 15/07/2010 15:34

Martha Ellen Rosa Lynch

Martha Ellen Rosa. Three names is not a bit OTT, especially if they're family or mean a lot to you.

Or Martha Rosaleen?

flopsy1974 · 17/07/2010 19:59

Still no further forward. Why am I so indecisive???
