Middle name for Nathaniel please - due tomorrow!

DH and I have finally agreed on Nathaniel for a boy but we're struggling for a middle name.

I think it needs a short, single syllable name as it's quite a mouthful already! Saying that, I love Alex (it was my favourite for a first name). We'd also like to get some Welsh influence in there if possible, so Owain is a possibility as is Rhys which is DH's middle name.

Our surname begins with an R.

Nathaniel Rhys

Any other ideas?

Funnily enough, James is also on my list but I didn't want to put too many down.

My only concern with Rhys is that we didn't give it to DS - so I don't know if he'll be upset that number 2 got it when he didn't!

The first name that came into my head from the thread title was James. Reading the reply before me, I'm obviously not the only one. I think Nathaniel James sounds lovely!
