Am I pronouncing Imogen correctly?

Just wanted to double check how Imogen is pronounced as read somewhere that someone said the last 'e' is as in 'egg' but that would make Imogen sound like Imo-jen but I thought it wasn't the same sound as 'Jen' in 'Jennifer' and I thought it was more Im-uh-jun (the 'jun' isn't right, I think I mean more like the way the e is pronounced in 'ern' but a very short sound so without the 'r' bit really. And the main stress being on the Im.

Am I wrong? Hard to explain...

I'd say Imuh-jin but I suspect it depends on your accent (am Scottish).

Actually it's probably a sound between Ima and Imuh when I say it.

It can be either ybh- I have heard both more than once.

I personally prefer jen

Ooo I just looked on wikipedia at the phonetic spelling and looks like it is the e at the end of roses and at the start of emission

Think that's right, as when I think about it I don't pronounce the roses one as an 'egg' sound it's more of an 'er' or 'i' or 'uh' sound, and that's prob how I pronounce the e in emission too.

Do you think that's right? I really like the name but would feel pretty stupid if I chose it then said it incorrectly.
