Recommendations for baby shusher devices and whether they’re worth buying

Hello! New 1st-time nanna here. Anyone used/using one of the baby 'shusher' devices? I want to buy one ...... if my son and DIL have one or similar already, I'll simply keep it for my house. They seem good 🤔 ?? TIA

Congratulations Nana to be! I have to admit I had to google as I’ve never even heard of this and I’ve got a 1 year old and lots of my friends all have littles. Personally I (and most people I know) use white noise which works perfectly well. Whether it works or not may depend on just what kind of baby you get - pray for a sleeper 🤣 and what sleep associations they build with your DIL and son. They look about £20ish but I would see if you can find it on Vinted ?

Thank you Theboymolefoxandhorse

(I hope im replying to you, not sure if I've pressed right button 🤫)

That's great advice; been onto Vinted, and there are loads!

white noise yes - good idea also - I use for myself most nights 🤗
Thanks!

I wouldn’t spend too much money until baby is here. Babies are particular little things.
I have a 7 month old who didn’t even bat an eyelid at her baby shushing sheep but falls straight to sleep at the song Runaway… it came on Spotify and she conked right out, has worked every night since like a charm.
My eldest (8) never took a dummy from me, I left her with my Mum when she was 3 months old, my Mum popped a dummy in (I still don’t know where she found it) and baby fell straight to sleep.
You’ll somehow find that special Nanna hack that only you know!
Congratulations and enjoy 🥰 x

Baby IS here, btw - born 2 weeks ago. Sleep is okay... ish .... My first visit is ti be this coming weekend and I thought I would take them this, based on some of the reviews I've seen online, but I do hear you 😅
My son was simply happy with my singing!
