Owlet sock

I have the owlet sock and for some reason the pulse readings on the app are jumping up and down every second or every few seconds, is this normal or something to worry about? When I say jumping up and down it’s for example 126 down to 114 then it’ll jump back up to say 120 but it’s every second or so. I’ve tried reading about it online but can’t find anything about it really!

Are you worried about the actual readings or the accuracy of the machine?

I would say the readings. My baby is happy and healthy (as far as i’m aware) so just unsure as to why it’s jumping up and down so much

Heart rate varies with activity. Do you have an Apple Watch ? Start kicking your legs with all your strength and you will see. They also don’t cope with movement very well and can sometimes pick up sound. I have a friend that was at a concert and the monitor went through the roof even though her pulse was normal. It was picking up the beat of the music.
