Looking for non WiFi monitor with alerts

At home I have vetch camera that beeps on the parent unit when there’s sound or movement.

Im looking for a non WiFi camera that also has the detection alerts. I got a vtech vm3254 which works great but it doesn’t beep or anything when there’s movement or noise, the screen just lights up which isn’t going to wake anyone!

not looking to spend the earth as it’s only for holidays so just used 2 weeks a year.

Could you take the one from home if you like it, or does that use WiFi? I understand seeking a non WiFi version as I have often struggled/failed to get our WiFi cameras connected away from home then have to reconnect at home.

But do you really want to be woken each time baby moves? If they cry then you’ll either hear it through the camera or through the wall.

Anyway… I bought a cheap second hand BT one (6000 I think) from Vinted for this purpose. Lives in the suitcase and very easy to use.

Won’t you hear when they wake up anyway?

Not always, he doesn’t cry when he wakes up

I’d love to take the one from home but it’s WiFi and the camera is screwed to the wall!

Our one at home beeps for movement but we have the sensitivity down so it’s only when he’s sitting or standing up that it’ll go off.
He doesn’t cry when he wakes so just listening out for him isn’t ideal.

If the issue is not wanting to connect to a hotel's wi-fi, perhaps you could connect to your phone's hot spot, or just take a your own base station, (e.g. a used AirPort Express < £10 off fleaBay)

That would give you more options to find a wi-fi based monitor.

Unless there’s an additional need, there’s no need to be alerted to an ‘awake but not unhappy’ baby, which is probably why the feature is hard to come by.
