Time lag on notifications for Kodak Cherish c225

Hi everyone. I have a very strange problem where there is between a 20-30 minute time lag on notifications to my phone when there is a disruption in my little boys room. This has been happening for about a year and Kodak can’t figure out what the issue is. Just now my DS1 was crying for 20 minutes but got no notifications to my mobile. This problem only happens at night. Presume it had something to do with my wifi connection? Tempted to get a new monitor but I don’t know if that will solve the problem. Anyone else have this issue and have any insight? Need a wifi monitor due to distance between rooms
