Hi ladies,
First pregnancy (26 weeks) and I would love your advice on what baby monitor to get!
I would like a video monitor, and my DH will be away 2 nights a weeks so I was looking at ones you could also use over the internet on your phone etc (thought it would be lovely if he could see the baby at bedtime when he wants) but all the ones I have seen have terrible reviews on amazon etc!
Do you have any experience of a really good monitor you would recommend? I'd love some guidance SmileSmile

We have a Motorola video monitor which is good was about £50 from Argos if I remember correctly and also have a baby monitor app on our phones and iPad. The app is really good as you can play music to the baby and adjust the light in the room they are sleeping in, we only got the app as a friends two year old hid the monitor while visiting in a shoebox and we couldn't find it for weeks! I'm not convinced the really pricey ones are worth it tbh all you really need is to see and hear baby for peace of mind.

I would recommend Baby Monitor 3G, it's an app so you can use your phone and also both parents may check on the baby too.

There's apps out there you can use on your Iphone, you can watch all over the world.. I've used it for some time but I didn't want to start paying so I quit using it. But might be something for you.

Videos on baby monitors aren’t good. If you want a quality shared experience consider streaming something like a GoPro.

I love and bought the Motorola baby monitor. Easy to use. Good range. Colour and not too expensive - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K1BESC4/ref=aslii_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B00K1BESC4&linkCode=as2&tag=bacolt-21&linkId=d6c626554832441c03d76f918c37dfe6

Also there are some good ones mentioned here - babyconfused.com/baby-monitors/

And the expert reviews website also has some good recommended ones - www.expertreviews.co.uk/baby-monitors/1405242/best-baby-monitors-the-best-baby-monitors-from-tommee-tippee-motorola-tomy-and-1
