Hi mamas :)

My name is Emma, and I'm currently in the early stages of making a monitor for babies, especially those who are very sensitive to maybe either light, sound, or pollution in the air. I would love to have some idea from you all about what, or even if, you used something that is already in the market.

I am really passionate about helping babies, and parents of babies, because I grew up with horrible allergies, and have suffered my whole life because of it. I want to create a product that can maybe help and aid parents and make their lives better :)

I would love any feedback on any monitors you love, or you don't love - I want to make a product for you all mothers to make their lives easier :)

Thank you so much in advance, and have a lovely day :)

I had a one-way monitor so I could hear the DC when they were asleep and I was not in the same room as them (generally if we were away, I would be around them at home, and they slept in with us until about 8 months, but which time I knew I could hear them in our house).

I'd be able to hear the amount of background noise (being nearby) but probably be unable to do much about it, and anyhow babies sleep, through remarkable amounts once they're (eventually) off, so this feature has no attraction.

Similar for light levels. I'm there, I don't need a machine to tell me.

No attraction to pollution level monitoring either. Aside from not being sure which pollutants you would be monitoring and how, again it may well be something you can do nothing whatsoever about. I just see it as an unnecessary stressor.

As you may be able to tell, I think there are some things which should not be replaced by a machine, and responsiveness to a baby is one of them.
