Safety of wifi 'repeaters' inside nursery

I have a quick question. We have bought the baby ping monitor so we can see our little one on our iPhone.

As our house is on three floors the wifi is quite weak, so we were told to get a 'devolo dLAN 500 wifi repeater', which basically boosts the wifi signal through the electronic sockets.

Do you know any online places where us parents can check to see whether it is safe to have this 'booster' in the same room as little one's crib?

I have heard there are safety questions about electromagnetic waves, etc

can you not have it wired rather than wireless?

Does wifi cause problems for babies?

MrsPnut · 21/02/2014 08:11

I would say that the devolo repeaters are fine, we have one upstairs in our house and it means the wifi signal is strong so you could put it in a different room and still use the signal in the babies room.

this discusses the health risks

"Many people fear that EMFs cause cancer; however, a causal connection between EMFs and cancer has not been established. The National Research Council (NRC) spent more than three years reviewing more than 500 scientific studies that had been conducted over a 20-year period and found "no conclusive and consistent evidence" that electromagnetic fields harm humans."

Emf is the reason we have no baby monitor yet (we just drive ourselves mad watching her) & also no wifi repeaters in the house despite a weak signal over 3 floors.

Am exploring options with low emf.

WiFi / cell phones Etc... All transmit on the same frequency as your microwave. It was believed because the voltage was low, it doesn't cause harm. But it does. Some countries have banned WiFi in all public places and schools For this reason.

You need to watch Talks from two people

Dr. devra Davis. She tells you straight off, that when she was working for the regulators inthe 80s, they knew ciggaretes causes cancer but said it didn't because
1- decision makers were smokers
2- the public wasn't ready for the truth
WiFi and cell phone is the new cigarette

below is a seminar to a audience of scientist. She also shows 3 radiation effect on a baby's brain and featus

to learn about how WiFi effect your child's brain You need to watch Barrie grower. His a British physicist and former microwave weapons expert for the Royal Navy and the British Secret Service. He said in mid 70s they had all the study to make the dicision that emf radiation causes cancer, alter the brain, and damage dna. Once your DNA has been damaged, it is passed down the line. He predicted surge in cancer, infality, child developmental problems and range health problems. His on. I've watched many of his video and this one to me opened my eyes as he talks about WiFi and the effects on child brain

Needless to say we are not allowing our child any WiFi enabled equipment. We had to buy a new corded phone, cable up the computers. Damage to my childs DNA is not worth it.

Has anyone out there been brave enough to challenge the use of wifi in their child's school?

Se7en11 · 26/03/2019 17:16

I have a 3 storey town house and use those devolo repeaters without any apparent problem.
