Safety Alarms -anyone got one?

Hi everyone

Heading on holiday to Spain with the kids next month. We are staying in a friend's villa and there is no gate around the pool. Bit worried about the kid's safety. Just wondered if anyone had heard anything about portable pool alarms for children? - I looked on the internet and saw one called the Safety Turtle and another one called the Safety Angel - has anyone used either of these? Any advice would be welcome!

how old are the children? do you go reguarly to the villa? Im thinking that they could be quite expensive for just a week away (although im not saying thats the price of a life!)

if the children are old enough would it be better to perhaps educate them, lay down some rules, ensure they are only allowed out nr the pool when you are there?
