Lupus and sudden onset of double vision

Posting on behalf of a friend.
has anyone with SLE experienced sudden onset of diplopia? The double vision is horizontal rather than side by side. She has been assessed by an eye clinic and has been given prism glasses for now.

She’s had an MRI to rule out neurological causes (awaiting results) but they think it has been caused by an eye muscle which has suddenly stopped working, but they don’t know why.

She thinks it could be lupus related. Has anyone experienced similar?

I didn’t have what your friend had/s but I get blurry vision infrequently and during my initial diagnosis I used to get black spots obscuring my vision for 10 mins at a time..
