I’m 26 weeks pregnant and recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I can’t do this. I was so well with my other 2 pregnancies. I’m really depressed and hate it waking up. I can barely walk with this illness and can’t face being so disabled. My life feels over. It’s not fair. I just like to sleep and dream this isn’t happening

Haven’t left house in months other than hospital. I incontinence of urine too. So I feel I constantly smell and can’t walk well

So sorry to hear this.
Have your specialist and nurse recommended any support groups near you or online? Hopefully, you can find a community of people sharing their journeys with MS, allowing you to connect with others so you don’t feel alone. x

Hi @Anxious24 sorry to hear you are struggling.

do you know what type of MS you have been diagnosed with? It sounds like you are having a relapse which is awful but temporary.

I have MS and wanted to give you some reassurance that things will get better. Once you’ve had your baby they will be able to look at getting you on the most effective treatment. Have your doctors discussed this with you?

I have MS and you would never know to look at me, I’ve got kids and a full time job and most days I don’t even think about MS. When I was first diagnosed I had a relapse that left me unable to walk and I thought I’d be like that forever. I got my mobility back and other than one leg feeling a bit heavier when I am tired or cold I am totally back to “normal”. It honestly does get better.

MS isn’t the condition it once was with the treatments that are now available. You can live a good life still, and I’m sure you will once you’ve got over this relapse and on the right treatment for you.

Shift MS has a good forum if you want to talk to others with MS.
