Help my psoriasis is getting worse … any tips for inflammation and managing autoimmune disorders?

I periodically get stressed induced psoriasis, which definitely comes and goes depending on how well ‘life’ is generally going!

I’ve currently got two separate types going on (plaque and inverse psoriasis, in different areas) for the first time, and I fear a third type (ocular) has started in the last few days.

As there isn’t much I can do right now to manage my stress, I wondered if anyone has any go-to things to help my autoimmune system from being overactive and reduce inflammation in my body??

Thank you x

I started going to the sauna and most of my psoriasis has gone. But it may have also been the thermal pool. Mine is stress induced and I have been in high stress for a long time. I just still have one patch on one knee but I had it on my elbows in the past, both knees, sclap and around the ankles.

I noticed an improvement when I started taking a probiotic. Taking an Optibac gummie every day atm. Also take vit D.

For bad flare ups I get Enstilar foam from the GP.

For stress / anxiety (in my case hormonal) I've started taking Revive Active (?) Calm capsules. Improved sleep and anxiety massively. Not sure of impact on psoriasis though. They aren't too bad atm anyway.

Anti-inflammatory / Mediterranean diet.

Think the weather doesn’t t help. My husband is covered in it . Uses enstiller constantly but it won’t go away. Has now been referred for light therapy

Biologic treatment has worked so well for my son. He injects himself once every 2 weeks and his psoriasis is totally gone. His drug is called Yuflyma but there are lots of options, you should definitely look into it.

Hi, I run (not v fast) and swim but it seems to be the running that makes the difference

My Hashimoto’s is in remission thanks to keto. The low inflammatory food makes it perfect for autoimmune diseases. Removing all grains and cereals is a huge benefit, start there.

It’s a bit of a try and see what works for people I think, Enstillar is great for me, but the biologic I inject for my psoriatic arthritis (adulibmumab) does nothing for my skin.

Mine improved hugely when I stopped eating dairy.
