Hi everyone,
about a year ago I was diagnosed with perimenopause as I displaying a lot of common Symtoms. It all started ( noticeable to me anyway) when I was away for a girls weekend in Spain. I lost my appetite and felt very weak in the sun.
I then went another holiday and felt the same way. I also got red areas on my face and I believe I had livedo I think it’s called on legs.
if I’m under any kind of uv light I get a lot of red marks. I also feel flushed across my cheeks and nose but no visable redness that I can see.
also been wakening up with a lot of rib discomfort the only way I can describe it is someone has been hugging me too tight. It the hurts to take a deep breath in. Very random but sometimes when I sneeze I feel chest pain and it almost sort of stops the full sneeze.
sorry I’m not too good at describing things very well lol.
looking too see if anyone has any experience with this?
thank you

You can get the lupus rash without having lupus - I do but my blood test results aren’t high enough to be proper lupus. Rheumatologist described it to me as ‘pre-lupus’. The sun certainly doesn’t agree with me. So, just saying that it’s not guaranteed to be lupus. Also before I was given the diagnosis I do have (via lip biopsy), a lot of GPs suggested rosacea. Which IMO looks quite different to a butterfly rash, but who knows. First stop GP by the sounds of it?

Thank you very much for replying. I think I have put this off for long enough, trip to the GP it is.
