I have annual blood tests for Hashimotos and have been diagnosed for three years. Last years test was just under the normal range, at TSH 4.5. Last week’s test came back at 5.9, over the range. (range this time went up to 4.2)
I think they probably should’ve upped my prescription last year. I’m on 75mcg levo. I’m thinking that 100-125 would be a better dose, but know it depends on the GP and they don’t care about bringing it right down, just want to get it in range. I feel exhausted all the time!

Target TSH range is lower than it is for people with normal thyroid function. Unfortunately I had to point this out on multiple occasions to my GP and quote the guidelines at them to get them to agree to upping my dose. I feel dreadful as soon as my TSH goes above 2 so I can understand why you feel so tired.

So if you are symptomatic (which you are) your GP should be aiming for a TSH within the lower end of the range. Sounds like you definitely need a dose increase.

Nice guidelines are clear that if you're symptomatic you should be treated. Ideally your TSH should be around 1. Definitely contact GP and request an increase.
