Anyone had this and has it gone down!

See pic :-( I have chronic psoriasis controlled by biologics (Stelara) which luckily sorts most symptoms - but this finger has been this way nine months now.

I am petrified it will spread. It doesn’t hurt unless I try to use it, can’t lift or exert it in any way. It’s inflamed tendons and tissues around the joint - it’s solid rather than swollen.

Has anyone had steroid injections and had it go down?

I have had this on fingers and toes, it absolutely does go down but not quickly. I’ve never had steroid injections for a sausage but have for an arthritic finger joint. It was pretty pointless as the joint is so small that the steroid doesn’t really stay in and it was painful to do.

it looks sore and pretty annoying so hopefully it goes down soon.

Thanks that’s interesting. It’s so horrible isn’t it.

Thankfully I have been sausage free for a few years, but I still have a pair of one size bigger shoes in the back of the wardrobe just in case. My second toe on a couple of occasions has been larger than my ‘big’ toe!

I really hope it calms down soon for you.

Ouch!!
I've joined a couple of UK based PsA groups on Facebook which are excellent for advice - good luck!
