Coated Hydroxychloroquine - PSA

Currently pregnant and off my normal immunosuppressants as per consultants orders however my antibodies were noted as high so they want me to continue on hydroxychloroquine.

Given it’s the singularly worst tasting medicine in the history of mankind with full Reddit threads devoted to its putrid taste, I have been really struggling to keep it down with the pregnancy nausea.

Whilst in with my GP I mentioned how difficult the medication was to take and he very kindly reached out to the pharmacy and said if they could get the coated/film covered medication the practise would cover the difference in cost given the pregnancy,

So just as a PSA to anyone else who really struggles with it, the coated version can still be gotten on the NHS, provided you have a lovely GP!
