CRP level raised

I have rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis. The RA came as a surprise just two years on after having such a rough start with my colitis. I'm 39 for context.
My CRP level has always been 4 but now has jumped to 7. Just panicking about it a bit. I did end up getting a cold the next day but not sure my bloods would have picked up on that.

What happens if it keeps increasing? My illnesses are both controlled at the moment and the other blood results were within normal range.

I'd ask your GP. It could have been a virus as it's not gone very high, so maybe related to the cold.

From my understanding that is still a very low crp level. Seek gp opinion if you are worried.

My rheumo nurse didn't seem overly concerned but she was talking a fair bit about cholesterol levels and it being good that I was also going to get a screening for that later next month as part of general checks.
My cholesterol was fine last year and my weight falls within the normal range....

I guess I am just panicking. After all my health issues, I do tend to panic.
