Methotrexate and increasing

Has anyone had increasing or consistently high WBC count whilst on methotrexate?

I am due soon to change to JAKs inhibitors

But I had my blood tests yesterday and my WBC is 16,500. 3 weeks ago it was 12,400, and the previous blood tests show between 11,100 and 10,110 back as far as April. I have just had two weeks of increased methotrexate injection from 20mg to 25mg.

My WBC count is always on the higher end of the scale between 8,000 and 9,500.

I've been taking methotrexate for a year, firstly with tablets and then injections.

I've been on and off biological injections for 8 years.

I have an appointment with the consultant on Tuesday for sign off for the JAKs inhibitors. (My usual consultant is currently on long term sick leave, so need to physically see this different consultant)

No wonder I feel horrendous 😭

Helpful bump for you.

I've only been taking it for 8weeks, so have no experience to speak of!
Are you still feeling shite?

Hi @TheSpottedZebra thanks for the reply! I did my 3rd higher dose injection on Saturday evening, so 36 hours ago, and feel like I've been hit by a bus today. Shite with a cherry on top!!!

I will have more bloods done tomorrow and will be able to see if there's any more of an increase in the white blood cell count.

Oh no, sorry you're still feeling rough!

it must be horrid, knowing that a blood result is concerning, and just having to... carry on for a bit.

Hope you're feeling better very soon and that your appointment tomorrow brings you clarity and action.
