Possible MS or MND

I’m wondering what peoples first very early signs of both MS and MND were?
I’ve been referred very urgently to neuro due to my symptoms, i’m not worried but more just looking to have some insight into others experiences.
I have involuntary muscle movement in my upper body. These look like jerking movements and before they happen i either feel nothing warning me or i get a warm weak feeling in the muscles which then result in a jerking movement. This has progressed from occasional to multiple times through the day.
Alongside this i have a change in speech which results in me stumbling over sentences due to my brain just deleting the word i was about to say. I’ve found that i’m beginning to muddle words when i read silently.
I also have an occasional weak feeling in my right hand (doctor didn’t tell me results of my grip test) and have noticed a decrease in short term memory.
I’m also experiencing fatigue, headaches and very occasionally a strange feeling when i swallow saliva (feels like saliva hasn’t gone down so i have to swallow multiple times).
Doctor seemed very concerned that all my symptoms are only in the upper half of my body.

My Nan passed due to MND and as far as i’m aware (though i’m estranged from that half of my family) there are no other neuro diseases in the family.

Hi there

I was diagnosed with MND last year and your symptoms do not really correlate with early signs of MND.

I’m less certain about MS, but there are a lot more people living with MS so I expect someone else will be able to help on that one.

Did the neurologist figure out what it was in the end?

cheers
Simon

What a worrying time for you OP. I have MS, those symptoms don’t sound like MS to me tbh, but they’re so many neurological diseases, Neurologist will get to the bottom of the cause. Good luck, I hope you get an appointment quickly.

Hi, sorry to hear about your symptoms. I have Ms and didn't have that, but everyone is so different. I hope you get answers soon.

@LionessMam how are you? Have you been given an indication of when you will get an appointment with Neurologist? Wishing you all the best Flowers
