I'm 27yo with a diagnosis of AA.
I have had topical minoxidil from the GP which had no effect.
I was referred to dermatology for treatment where I got a biopsy which confirmed AA and have been getting steroid injections into my scalp for the past year with little to no effect also.
At my last appointment the consultant mentioned trying oral minoxidil as the next step and told me to have a read up about it. However I have and there is little to no reports of success rates, side effects etc online, in the BNF.
Has anyone took this and can let me know if it was effective
