Hi everyone, I'm so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but I'm losing my mind falling down Google rabbit holes etc. I had my baby boy 7 months ago after a placental abruption (born at 36 weeks) and seem to have had health problems ever since. It has recently been discovered that I have adenomyosis and uterine polyps which have been causing me some bother. But also, recently bloods have come back showing I am slightly anemic and now hypothyroidism (TSH 20.5 , FT4 9.3) Although I'm extremely grateful to the GP for being thorough with her investigations, she was a little vague on the phone and I'm now just awaiting a hysteroscopy and have started 50mg of Levothyroxine and bloods are to be taken again in 2 months.

I just feel so confused! Can anyone shed any light on what all this means, can any of it be connected, does it sound likely that I'll now be on medication for life? I'm not sure what to think! Trying to enjoy Christmas eve but have a bit of a dark cloud over me at the minute.

Thank you to anyone that reads this and may be able to shed some light

@AJOC Hi, yes it may be all connected. I had polyps, endometriosis, anaemia and hypothyroid. The thyroid meds, you usually titrate upwards by 25mcg every 8-12 weeks once you start.

Have you joined the Thyroid Support community, try posting your results, there’s a lot of experience and help.
Thyroid replacement has been around a long time, we just don’t hear about it until we need it! Usually tested far too late if at all.
