For the last 6 weeks I've experienced some really debilitating symptoms and I can't pin point what it could be, I suffer with hemiplegic migraines and that's how it started out and after that I began to experience muscle weakness numbness brain fog badly visual problems and overall weakness, it lasted two weeks and settled for about a week but continuation of blurred vision and since then it's stayed the same weakness cold all the time, muscle weakness hand tremors and I noticed today that my eyebrow hairs have completely started falling out there is so many and also the brain fog is very much still there I've been getting at my doctors but they said it's just after affects of migraines I've had a few in the 6 weeks but this is not something I've experienced before any help or advice would be appreciated

Has your GP ever tested your thyroid function, do you know? (Blood test.)

Panackelty · 15/11/2023 03:21

Yes, blood tests would be useful, loss including outer third of eyebrow is often thyroid. Also an iron panel, as hair loss, cold, fatigue etc can also be low ferritin - if blood test just scrapes in at lower end of normal GPs often don’t notify you.

Maybe get checked for hypothyroidism . Those symptoms for.

Ask your doctor for blood tests for thyroid but ask for your antibodies to be checked also. This was the start of my journey and my doctor who is a narcissistic ass said I was pulling them out. Can you believe that. Also I lost lower leg hair and it has never grown back. Extreme tiredness, dry hair, skin, nails brittle and just feeling like you are in slow motion and lost your mojo, sleep also an issue. Please get tests done as soon as you can and ask for the antibodies bloods also and do not let them fob you off as so many doctors do not take this seriously and lots of us women suffer for years. Also prolonged and heavy periods.
