Vitiligo developing in 5 year old.

My daughter who is five has recently developed quite noticeable pale patches on her face. She is mixed race and we live in a predominately white area which means I have spent most of her childhood reminding her how beautiful her brown skin is and worked hard to make sure that she feels proud of the fact that she is beautiful and brown. I am now so worried that if this is vitiligo (I'm pretty sure it is, I have a GP app on Monday) she is going to become confused about her own skin. I'm also worried about other children and they're reaction and bullying (it is quite a conservative area aka racist) and saying she's trying to turn white, Michael Jackson, etc. I know that is a long way off but I am truly distraught by the thought of it.
Any help or hand holding would be truly appreciative.

Ive just seen you post and think my little girl has it also. (White skin though so not as noticeable when not tanned)
Dr suggested it could've been bacterial so trialling a shampoo that should help if it is but I'm not holding my breath - autoimmunes including vitiligo run in my family.

Did you get an answer? I hope your daughter is ok, I think it's still important to teach her to love her skin whatever colours it may be ❤️
