Hi head is going a complete 360.
ive been really exhausted over the last few months. Low iron but supplemented it. Now my bloods have come back positive EBV VCA IgG positive and EBV nuclear positive. im so stressed it’s cancer or ms. I feel so out of sorts. Like I’m not present. Tight chest, heavy head etc. the exhausted is real too constantly tired.

I hope it’s chronic fatigue but my anxiety is so high now. I do have a neurologist appt soon but now I am absolutely bricking this that is going to come back with MS or cancer. I’m only 27 :(

EBV is Epstein Barr virus which causes glandular fever. Afaik testing for that is not diagnostic of other conditions.
Have you got an appointment with a clinician to discuss your results/how you're feeling?

Have you ever had glandular fever? Doctor told me today that once you've had it, this reading will always be elevated. I too feared the worst!

Globally, over 90% of the worlds population has EBV. In this country a woman in her late teens has about an 80% chance of having had EBV. It causes a mild flu like illness or glandular fever type illness, then that’s it. Nothing to worry about being positive for it.

@PuppyMcPupFace not that I’m aware of. I suffered with chronic fatigue as a teen but have been fine since. I’ve been so exhausted since end of April/start of May this year. Totally out of sorts.

serious fatigue
tired/fuzzy eyes
heavy/fuzzy head
sometimes feeling like I can’t breathe

just an all round feeling of not myself. Various bloods all normal so I have no idea what is going on. Just wait and see with my neurologist appointment I suppose.

@ChrisPPancake google has said it has a link to cancer, MS, ME/CFS, lupus etc so when I seen that my head is going crazy of the worst. I’m awaiting a call back from my GP tomorrow although I had a text message from them today to say all ok bar boarderline low in Vit D (49… should be 50+ so not really concerned about that).

@RR15 low vit D can cause the fuzziness and fatigue. Stupid to say but try not to worry Flowers
