Could this be MS?

Hello,

I'm having strange symptoms and wanted to see if they sound familiar to anyone. A few weeks ago I developed a fever and simultaneously my feet started to tingle, the tingling worked up my leg and for a couple days my legs were very sensitive to touch and had constant tingling. It subsided after a few days and only had aches on my feet when I walked for the next couple days. Then, it went completely away for 5-6 days. About 11 days ago the tingling in my legs came back and then spread to my arms. After 4-5 days I also started getting a dull ache in my spine that moved positions (sometimes top of spine, middle or bottom), Sometimes its not an ache but more like a sensation of cold. Then this weekend I started feeling very strange like I'm not fully present. The tingling is now sporadic but have the constant back ache (mild) and brain fog. I had all my blood tests and the came back completely normal. The GP checked my reflexes, sensation and strength and didn't have any concerns.

This is impacting me severely. I'm having trouble working and taking care of my 2 young children.

I don't want to be that person but could be COVID?

It's normal to have that horrible tingly, hypersensitive feeling on your skin when you have a fever (I have it right now and am in bed with what I think is COVID.

It also gives you brain fog, strange aches and pains and goes away and then comes back.

Perhaps a version of long COVID?

I believe there's not necessarily a correlation between how mild your symptoms were when you first got it and likelihood of some form of long COVID.

That being said it's on my mind at the moment as I sit here with the horrible pin-prick fever skin feeling!

@wheresmymojo It's interesting you say that. My mom was visiting me from the US when I came down with the fever, she left 10 days later and tested positive for COVID the day she returned. SO there is a chance that my fever was COVID. BUT it's all the other symptoms that are worrying me and I'm trying to stay away from the rabbit hole of Google bc everything is pointing to MS.

Hi @Sama29 how are you now?

Sama29 · 16/11/2023 13:05

all symptoms went away in Sept. I had a brain and spine mri and nothing showed up. The neurologist thinks it was a neuro reaction to COVID since I had been around someone who tested positive around the same time. So relieved it’s not a chronic illness but also scary/crazy how covid can get into your nervous system!
