Suspected IBD

Hi all

Been urgently referred to gastroenterology for suspected IBD does anyone have any info on what to expect how it works and what happens if it is confirmed

You'll talk through your symptoms and have a range of tests.

These will probably include the doctor feeling your abdomen, blood tests to check for inflammation, stool test (you give a small poo sample) and possibly sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, MRI or CT.

In the meantime it can help to keep a diary of your symptoms.
