If you had bloods before you'd taken your daily dose of levothyroxine how much do you think it would affect your tsh level?

I had my annual bloods (thyroid and routine) taken a few weeks ago and didn't take my meds beforehand because I'd got out of sync . So I hadn't had my previous daily dose for about 20 hours.

Iirc levothyroxine hangs around in your system for a while?

It took a good while to feel the benefit when I started, so I doubt it would make that much difference. I certainly never worry about it.

I got told by a specialist that the half life of levothyroxine is 7 days so it would take a while for it to leave your system if you missed a dose. When I stopped taking it I had to wait 6 weeks for a blood test to check my levels.

Thanks for the replies. I've been on levothyroxine for over 10 years btw.

It was 3.06
but 0.30 last year

But then 4.80 in 2020.

They put me on an extra 25mg in 2020 but then told me drop the extra as went slightly hyper.

So I'm back to 100mg

Looking back over my online history it's seems I was 60.78 in 2010 which seems extraordinary.
