Fed up with long hospital stay- TM and ITP

Hi
I posted a while ago about my husband being admitted to hospital with one auto immune disorder ITP and then developing another- transverse myelitis - and losing his mobility. It’s been 8 weeks now and his mobility has been slowly coming back, although his platelets have still been very low due to his ITP. He was moved to a local hospital and even managed some home visits. So still stressful but could see progress albeit slow. However his Itp bleeding has got worse and now he’s had to go to a bigger hospital miles away, and it just feels like there is no end in sight. I just feel so fed up and he is too. We have 3 kids and it’s just so bloody hard and sad.
I know probably there will be no one who has had both of these at once and that there’s nothing we can do but keep on going but it’s just such a knock back.

I'm so sorry to hear this. That does sound really hard for all of you. How old is he and how old are your kids?

there just seems to be no end in sight.

My son had ITP - he made a full recovery but it took a year for "spontaneous remission" - he did respond well to IViG in the short term.

I hope things turn a corner for dh soon.
