MRI result question

Hi,
I had an MRI a few weeks ago. GP had worried about possible MS. Neurologist thought it wasn't but wanted to do an MRI because my problems are on one side of body. Also checked blood. He said for MRI that they would be in touch if anything to report. So I got the usual letter that gets sent to GP too, about my appointment. However, no results for blood or MRI. So after a couple more weeks I managed to get in touch with secretary and she says she can see there is a dictation to be typed up, so I'll have a letter in a couple of weeks. So do you think this means they've found something? Or could it just be to say they haven't. I just got the impression I'd hear nothing if no news, and not get a letter. Am so confused. Wish I'd asked! It will be about 7 weeks by the time I hear. Any opinions appreciated, thanks x

You will get a letter regardless of what the result is. The mi d boggles as to how it can take weeks for a dictated letter to be typed. It's frustrating, but try not to dwell on it in the mean time 💐

They often still type up a full report usually. It is occasionally just “we have received the report and it is normal” (that is what I got for my MRI) but for my DD they noted everything they saw even though it was all normal. Eg. “Normal cerebellar volume. Grey matter is well dispersed. No indication of demyelination observed” Etc
