Extremely dry eyes
Dry mouth
Dry cough
Breathlessness
Wheeziness
Palpitations
Gallbladder pain, but no stones.
Extremely itchy skin which has gone now - present when gallbladder was kicking off.
Urinary frequency
Cystitis if I drink orange juice.
Waking up choking on thick saliva
Sinusitis
Thick mucous in post nasal drip
Sore joints and muscles
Joints easily strained and injured
Stiffness
Weakness
Weak grip
Tiredness and terrible lethargy
Exercise intolerance
Restless legs
Cold feet
Heat intolerance
Get sunstroke very easily - sweat, exhausted, headache, nausea and irritability.
Itchy rash from sun or being too hot
Sweating very easily
Feeling unbalanced when going from sitting to standing
Clumsiness

I can't tell whether this is something or if it's just general post menopausal falling to bits type stuff. I'm 52, overweight and very unfit, but struggling to exercise.

I'm also autistic and often can't identify when I'm unwell or need to seek help.

Hi there
That's a lot of symptoms, have you seen anyone about them? Quiet a few of those may be some kind of allergy/ histamine issue. That can happen as we get a bit older and hormones change.

jajabanks · 01/11/2021 11:48

Definitely extra weight can mess up hormone levels so that can affect the histamine too. Might be worth getting some kind of health check with some bloods for thyroid

Don't sound like auto immune to me.
Obviously lots of allergy type things, seem to be three kinds of groups there? Lots of lung / nasal things?
Temperature intolerance sounds very much like menopausal symptoms, too hot or too cold, too sweaty and itchy.
Do you get all of these all the time?
Maybe keep a diary and go to GP for a general discussion.

None of us can say, op. These are symptoms that need to be investigated, take your list to a gp.

Some of them could share a common cause, but even a doctor (immunologist or not) wouldn't offer an opinion as to whether there's an autoimmune condition or not.

You could look at the symptoms of Sjogren's Syndrome. And push for a rheumatologist referral and blood tests.

Hello
The dry eyes and mouth definitely sound like Sjogrens Syndrome. A lot of autoimmune have the same symptoms like aching joints, hair loss, fatigue.
Itchy skin could be menopause or high blood sugar.
Mucus sounds like allergies.
Have you cut out any food groups like dairy and wheat? Doing anything too energetic triggers a flare up for je and too much sugar causes reactive arthritis.
