I am going to be having iv steriods over three days to suppress my immune system.

Likely to be repeated every few weeks.

I don't want to be on edge, cry or get angry, like the consultant said.

How can I minimize the side effects.

Thanks for reading

I had iv steroids with chemotherapy. The side effects I had were sleeplessness, red face, high energy.
I don't think there is much you can do to stop the SE and actually overall the steroids (dexamethasone) made me feel much better.

I think generally steroids give you a feeling of wellbeing. I had them once a week by iv infusion for 12 weeks. I used to look forward to "steroid " day as it gave me one day a week when I could manage to do stuff. It kept me awake much of that night but small inconvenience compared to a day of feeling better.
Best of luck

Juo
Glad it gives you energy. Wondering how this will work for me, as I can barely walk. So the idea of me buzzing around slowly, makes me laugh.
