I hope someone can help because I’m going a bit crazy with worry and I can’t find the answer anywhere! I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease a few months ago. Since then I’ve been taking propylthiouracil. Last blood tests in January showed TSH of 0.01 although T3 and T4 had improved. I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant last week so had my bloods done. They show I now have an under active thyroid with TSH levels over 9. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist next week but in the meantime my GP has taken me off the propylthiouracil altogether. Does anyone know if stopping my treatment will bring my TSH levels back to normal or should I be taking medication to lower them? Has anyone had a successful pregnancy with TSH levels that high or is it pretty much certain that I’ll lose it?
