Diagnosed with hypothyroidism after having son but having scary symptoms

Hi,
I really need advice. I had my son seven months ago and about the last 5 months I've been experiencing some horrible symptoms. I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I feel some symptoms have improved but others are getting worse. My worst symptoms are pressure/numbness/heaviness in the head, feeling sick, lightheaded, dizzy, weakness and pins and needles everywhere. My obs are always fine. They thought the pressure in my head was an inner ear infection but antibiotics hasn't helped and I've tried so many tablets to help with the sickness and dizziness but none have worked so far. If anyone has went through the same situation or has any idea please let me know. Im getting really worried and upset that it's something serious.

I have hypothyroidism but didn't have these symptoms. I had a bloated stomach and was worried about ovarian cancer so my GP checked bloods and found I had an underactive thyroid. I think it's recommended that you have other bloods checked too when you have hypothyroidism such as Vit b12, vit D and haematology bloods like haemoglobin and ferritin. So I would ask your GP to check these. A low Vit B12 can cause numbness in your fingers.
Your thyroid controls many body functions so the range of symptoms that people have if their thyroid levels are off are extremely varied. There's some good Facebook groups which are worth joining for more info.

When they say your levels are fine what actually are they? What is considered ok in UK is very different from what is ok in USA. I have under active thyroid and was medicated and apparently all ok but had many symptoms you describe. Saw different GP and she has been upping medication gradually (now double what it was previously) and I’m feeling significantly better.
