Coeliac blood test tomorrow - how much gluten did you eat before yours?

Hello, I’ve just been to the dr and she suggested I got tested for coeliac disease and I booked a blood test for tomorrow. The only problem is I’ve hardly consumed any gluten in the past couple of months (because it causes me so much pain etc)

Do you think it will come back negative? I’ve eaten pizza yesterday and I’m going to have toast, pizza and pasta today but I’ve read I’m supposed to eat 4 things a day for 6 weeks. Which I definitely haven’t.

The dr said if it was negative I’d have to have another one after eating weeks of gluten. I really don’t want to do this because it causes me so many problems.

How much gluten did you eat before yours? What was the result? Do you think there’s any chance of this test being positive? or is it just a waste of time?

You really need to have been eating it a few times a day for 6 weeks to get an accurate result

That’s what I’ve read too. I’m really not sure I could keep it up for 6 weeks.

I’m worried this test will be negative (false or not).

Has anyone had a test that’s positive without eating gluten for 6 weeks?
