My consultant has recommended I take calcium supplements twice daily for three months as I'm newly diagnosed with coeliac disease - although bone density check was only down today (three weeks later). Looking at nhs guidelines and Coeliac U.K. site it seems that the guidance might be a tad outdated - my diet is pretty good, I'm.mid fifties and I am reasonably fit. Is anyone else taking/has taken calcium supplements - it's just something I would rather not do unless I really do have to!
