Hi All.

I posted a few weeks ago as I had been feeling unwell and had chased up results from a blood test with GP from back in Feb. These were
TSH 0.01 range 0.34-5.6
Free T4 12.9 range 7.7-15.1
Free T3 6.1 range 4.3-6.8

Since then I have been to an Endo and had bloods done. These are the results. I am waiting to see him in a few weeks
TSH 0.01 range 0.27-4.20
Free T4 34.69 range 12-22
Free T3 16.6 range 3.1-6.8
TP antibodies 46.5. Norm

You definitely have something going on but you'd be better off posting this on HealthUnlocked, a bunch of really helpful, knowledgeable members there. :)

It's not hashi because the figures are the wrong way round.
It could be Graves with negative antibodies.
But I'd wait to see what the endo says.
Have they scanned your thyroid?

timeistight · 30/05/2018 20:53

They need to test thyroglobulin antibodies re Hashimoto's and TSI and TRAB antibodies re Graves, if you're really unlucky, you'll have both, but the fluctuations could just be caused by Hashi's.

I have graves and my results looked like yours - the test couldn’t pick up any tsh at all, t4 was 3x the top of the range so this triggered further investigations which showed t3 was even higher and TR antibodies were high but the others (tpo and tsi I think) were okay.

Hi all. Thanks for your replies. I'm on Carbimazole whilst I wait for the next appointment and have some more bloods in two weeks. My resting heart rate is also about 100 which I guess isn't right!

Gosh yes graves or hyperthyroidism. Sometimes they give beta blockers too - you could ask?

WhyDidIEatThat · 01/06/2018 14:29

Ugh yucky I remember it well, poor you, they started me on a ton of propranolol along with the carbimazole - I think it doesn’t only dampen down some of that peripheral stuff but is also slightly a bit anti thyroid too. It seemed like a madly massive amount, like 180mg ?
