Thyroid TSH level and TTC help!

Hi,

I am about to start TTC so had a blood test and my Thyroid result has come back as 4.96mIU/L. I just made the mistake of googling it and it is not looking good Sad
It says it is within the normal range but the internet says 1-2mIU is optimal. I have booked an appointment with the GP but the closest one they have got is two weeks time.
Does this mean I am unlikely to get pregnant? And if I do it says I will be more likely to have a MC and the baby to get neurological problems.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of result and ttc?

I am worried that because it is within 'normal' levels they won't do anything. Sad

You may have a fight on your hands because the NICE evidence summary, which used to say TSH should be below 2 if TTC, has now been changed and mentions no figures, but the BTF is still saying Under 2.
