Claiming PIP with Fibromyalgia

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia nearly 4 years ago after the birth of my youngest child. It's been a gruelling and exhausting time and at 39 years old I feel like I'm never going to feel 'better' and the best I can hope for is less pain and fatigue.
I'm under a rheumatologist so I'm fully diagnosed and I have a PIP interview in 10 days. I've gone from being a full time police officer of 15 years to working 1 hour a day in a primary school as i can't manage anything more. I also have two children aged 4 and 6.
Can anyone offer any helpful advice or tips on what I need to do/say/expect in the interview please. I've heard they don't give this award out easily and I desperately need a little extra financial help.

Thanks x

With PIP it is what you can't do, rather than what is wrong with you. Tell them what it is like on your worst day.

Are they coming to your home or are you going to an assessment centre?

Try joining UK EDS Facebook page. EDS has quite a few crossover symptoms with Fibro. I have both. In the FB group Files page there is a really helpful guide to completing PIP booklet and the face to face. Best of luck.
